Booking and Payment
- Filling out the booking form on our website, and submitting it online.
- Sending us an email (info@ethiopianphotographytours.com) with your details, such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred tour or package, travel dates, number of travelers, special requests, etc.
- Calling us on our phone number (+251-911-056-456), and speaking to one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff members.
We will confirm your booking within 24 hours, and we will send you a confirmation email with your booking details, payment instructions, and other relevant information.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit Card: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. You can pay online through our secure payment gateway, or over the phone with our staff. We will charge a 3% service fee for credit card payments.
- Bank Transfer: You can pay by bank transfer to our bank account in Ethiopia. We will provide you with our bank details and instructions in the confirmation email. You are responsible for any bank fees or charges that may apply.
- Cash: You can pay by cash in US dollars / euros upon arrival in Ethiopia. You can pay at our office in Addis Ababa, or to our representative at the airport or hotel. We will issue you a receipt for your payment.

We understand that sometimes plans change, and we try to be flexible and accommodating to our customers. However, we also have to respect our contractual obligations with our service providers, and we incur costs and losses when customers cancel their bookings. Therefore, we have the following cancellation and refund policies:
- If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before your departure date, we will refund you 100% of your payment, minus any bank or credit card fees.
- If you cancel your booking between 30 and 15 days before your departure date, we will refund you 50% of your payment, minus any bank or credit card fees.
- If you cancel your booking less than 15 days before your departure date, or if you fail to show up or depart early, we will not refund you any payment, and you will forfeit the full amount of your booking.
We recommend that you purchase travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical, and other risks that may occur during your trip.
Travel Arrangements
Visa: Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Ethiopia. You can apply for a visa online through the Ethiopian e-Visa website, or at the Ethiopian embassy or consulate in your country.
You can also obtain a visa on arrival at the Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, or at the border crossings with Kenya, Sudan, or Djibouti. However, we advise you to apply for a visa in advance, as the visa on arrival may not be available for all nationalities, or may be subject to delays or changes.
You will need a valid passport with at least six months of validity and two blank pages, a recent passport-sized photo, a return or onward ticket, and a visa fee, which varies depending on your nationality and the type and duration of your visa. You can check the visa requirements and fees for your country on the Ethiopian Immigration website or contact us for assistance.
Vaccination: There are no mandatory vaccinations for Ethiopia, except for yellow fever, if you are coming from or transiting through a yellow fever endemic country. However, we recommend that you consult your doctor or a travel health clinic at least six weeks before your departure, and get vaccinated or take preventive measures for the following diseases: hepatitis A and B, typhoid, meningitis, rabies, tetanus, diphtheria, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, and malaria. You should also bring a personal medical kit with any prescription or over-the-counter medications that you may need, such as painkillers, antihistamines, antibiotics, antidiarrheals, antimalarials, insect repellents, sunscreen, etc.
Luggage and baggage allowances for Ethiopia depend on the airline, the flight, and the class that you are traveling with. You should check the luggage and baggage policies of your airline before your departure, and pack accordingly.
Generally, most airlines allow you to check in one or two pieces of luggage, with a maximum weight of 20 to 30 kg each, and to carry on one piece of hand luggage, with a maximum weight of 5 to 10 kg. You should also follow the security regulations and restrictions on what you can or cannot bring on board, such as liquids, gels, aerosols, sharp objects, etc.
